Description:

Indenture whereby Mary Hunt of Birmingham, widow of John Hunt, gent., and Hannah Bradley, widow of Joshua Bradley, gent., of Stourbridge, co. Worc., covenant with John Hill of Cradley, co. Worc., 'syth smith', that, in consideration of £90 to them paid, Joshua Bradley (now aged 10 years) son and heir of the said Joshua Bradley, shall on attaining full age surrender to the use of him, the said John Hill, in the Court of Cradley Manor all such customary lands, etc. in Cradley, adjoining lands of Richard Amphlett, esq., Robert Wakeman, Thomas Jeston, John Lowbridge, Francis Hill, Thomas Tibbotts and Edward Forrest, as were mortgaged, at a court of Sir Henry Lyttelton, Bart., held 18 February 3 James II, 1686/7, by Richard Cove and Martha his wife to John Hunt and Joshua Bradley for £120; the same now to remain in the hands of the said John Hill until such surrender; with mutual bonds in £180, to perform covenants.

 

Witnesses: Thomas Tyrer, Thomas Wright, Thomas Pearsall.

 

With acquittance for the above mentioned £90, 23 June 1699.
