Description:

Mortgage by Thomas Milward of Welford, co. Glouc., gent., and (at his request) Benjamin Milward of Stratford-upon-Avon, clerk, to Sarah Smith of Stratford, spinster, of a messuage, two cottages, closes, etc. and a moiety of two yard lands (which were purchased by one John Winter, 20 October 20 Elizabeth [1578] from Ludovic Grevill) in Welford, for 1000 years, to secure the payment of £120, with interest at 5 per cent.
