These deeds are mainly concerned with the Much Park Street property, though a 6s. rent from a Gosford Street house is mentioned (DR429/30). The names get more and more familiar. Adam Walsheman must be some relative of the builder of Walsheman's aisle in St. John's Church. Wilgrys, spelled any number of ways, is a familiar Leet Book name (DR429/29), and so are Palmers-Julines Palmer was a Marian martyr-and Dilcok. The first mention of the vicar of a church does not, however, concern Trinity, but St. Michael's, of which Tho. Bertevill was vicar in 1361 (DR429/29). Here and there the seals, which are usually well-preserved, are interesting. The one I take to belong to Wyldgris has the Virgin and Child on it with a kneeling suppliant. It occurs attached to deeds 29 and 32, The first occurrence of the name of Pysford perpetuated by the foundation of the Grey Friars' Hospital, should be of interest.
