The company ordinary is said to date from July 30th 1656, Its whereabouts now are not known. John Brand in his History and Antiquities of the town of Newcastle Upon Tyne of 1789 says that he found the original "a good deal mutilated" used as a wrapper for other documents related to the guild.

 

The company meetings were held at Blackfriars.
