Ralph Hedley was born in Richmond, Yorkshire in 1850, but was educated in Newcastle. He was an artist, a member of the Royal Society of British Artists, and carver. He started business in New Bridge Street, Newcastle, later moving to 52 St Mary's Place. He was succeeded in the business by his sons, Roger and Fred. |
