Formerly United Methodist Free Church, then United Methodist Church from 1907.

 

In 1956 the trustees voted to amalgamate with Station Road Methodist Church to form the Shiney Row Methodist Church. Chester Road Church then closed, but a new church was built on the site, opening c.1960.
