This file comprises two hundred and thirty two black and white photographs of equipment stored at the Depot, including waterproofs, underclothes, 'Mae West' lifebelts, cookers, trolleys and sledges; close-ups of machetes and knuckle dusters, cooks' equipment, mess tins, water bottles, tin-openers, lanterns, entrenching tools and cameras; two images of storage sheds, one of 'the layout of sewing machine shop REME', two of methods of packing for sending equipment out, and four of trolleys and fork lift trucks used at the Depot. Most are stamped with the stamp of the Stores Inspector, dated 1942-1945. There is also a table showing responsibilities within the Depot, April 1944. |
