Letters of Thomas [Cranmer] Archbishop of Canterbury, confirming to the Dean and Chapter of Chichester their income from the churches, chapels, prebends and priories of

 

Wilmington, East Dean, Pevensey, Singleton, West Dean, Didling, Chilgrove, Binderton, Stoughton, Burgham, Ferles, Bedyngham, Fryston, Alcyston, Lullington, Bakchilde, in Canterbury diocese, Mendlesham in Norwich diocese, Anneporte in Winchester diocese. Also a portion of the tithes from the fee of William son of Alan in le Mainwoode called le Shamelbarne, Birdham.

 

All the tithes from the demesne of Henry Cheyne in Estwyghtrynge, at the grange of le Shamell aforesaid. Also income from the Priory of Arundel, that is from the churches of Rustington, Kirdford, [Little] Hampton, the Rectory of East Wittering, the chaplain of the altar of St. Augustine in Chichester Cathedral, the priory of Boxgrove, the vicarages of Ferles and Bexill. And from the churches of Lancing, Fletching, Alfriston, Findon, Lavant, Old Shoreham, Rye, Westpreston, Rumboldswhyke, East Grinstead, Sele Priory, from the Lord of the Bishop's Manor of Amberley, from the Rectory of Cudlow and from Mendlesham [Norfolk].
