Description:

Letters of Bishop Robert [Sherburne] uniting the chapel of Bracklesham and the church of East Wittering, because of their poverty; at the request of John Champion, rector of East Wittering, and with the consent of Thomas Larke, Dean, and the Chapter of Chichester. Reserving to the Dean and Chapter an annual pension of 40s. due from East Wittering, and all tithes on Stubcroft at Shamble Barnes. The rector to pay the Bishop 10s. p.a. compensation for his loss of rights on avoidance, induction and institution to Bracklesham.
