Details of Cap/I/17/51A
Reference: Cap/I/17/51A
Title: Account
Description:

By William de Dunham, public notary of Lincoln diocese, of the laying of the foundation stones of Vicars Hall, in the presence of John de Maidenhith, Dean, William Petteworth, John Paxton, Robert Poplowe ("the prime mover of this work"), canons residentiary, also John Hebbe, Mayor of Chichester, William Neel, Thomas Pacchyng, William Hurlebat, William Cumbe, John atte Mulle and other citizens of Chichester.

This document has been numbered Cap/I/17/51A because it was not found until the rest of Cap/I/17 had been stamped and numbered. It appears to have been separated from its group at some time between the compiling of the rough catalogue by C. E. Welch in the early 1960s, and the compiling of this catalogue (February-May 1972). It was found at the bottom of a box of Chapter Miscellenea (Cap/I/10).
