By (a) Richard of Arundel to (b) Adam de Thwaincherech

 

I All rent and right from a messuage situated next to the house of John Flavel to the East, which (a) formerly granted to fee farm to Robert Angel, the rent being 5s. p.a.; payable quarterly.

 

II Rent of ½d. from the house which Thomas de la Seude holds, to be paid on the Feast of St. Denis.

 

III All rent and right from a messuage in the Pallant which (a) gave to fee farm to Philip, chaplain of All Saints, the rent being 4s. p.a. payable quarterly.

 

To hold of the High Church of Chichester. If (b) should die without heirs, the rents are to go to the said church for pious uses.

 

Yielding: 1d. annually at Michaelmas to keep a candle burning before the altar of the High Church, for all secular services. Saving 12d. service due on St. Denis' Day to the High Church from Property I, and 8d. due on Hockday to the Bishop of Chichester from Property III.

 

Consideration: 7 marks.
