Description:

Between (a) Ralf II, Bishop of Chichester and royal chancellor, (b) the Dean and Chapter of Chichester, (c) Harald son of William.

 

(a) to (c):

 

7½ acres with a wood and a house which lie in the hide of Cakham, enclosed by Harald's own bounds and ditches, free of all services to (a).

 

Consideration: 3s.4d. annually to (b) as paid before on the land exchanged.

 

Oliver of Wyhtring gave to (b):

 

4 acres with a house and wood, which (c) held of (b) for 3s.4d. p.a.

 

Witnesses: Simon of Wyhtring, Richard de Trubwyk, Ralf de Erneleg, Geoffrey of Cotes, Hamo de Hammes, Hugh de Chesnes, William of the wood.
