Description:

21 April 1440. Power of Attorney from (a) Richard Preston of Westminster. s. and heir of John Preston, formerly a Justice of the Common Pleas, to (b) John atte Wode.

 

All his lands, tenements, rents and services in Ringmer, South Malling, Glynde and Framfield.

 

(a) appoints (b) his attorney to deliver seisin of the premises to Geoffrey Myddelton, esq., Nicholas Morley, esq., and John Assh of Southwark, gent.

 

Given at Ringmer.

 

21 April 1440. Feoffment from (a) Richard Preston to (b) Geoffrey Myddelton, esq., Nicholas Morley, esq., and John Assh of Southwark.

 

All his lands, etc., in Ringmer, South Malling, Glynde and Framfield, which descended to (a) after the death of John Preston, his father.

 

Witnesses: William Dewe, Nicholas Aptoft, William Mallyng, Peter Colyn, and Thomas Andrew.
