By ALICE DE PENHERST to HENRY DE PENHERST her son and KATHERINE wife of the said Henry, of a moiety of the manor of Penherst, viz., a moiety of the hall of the said manor, with the solar (solario) and a cellar (celario) on the east of the hall, that is the cellar next the great door of the hall, and half the kitchen, a grange called the Nywegrannge, half a building called the Preshous, with the whole stable, also the underwritten fields, that is, Chitingeherst, Hegghe, Hoberslond, Rede, Litelrede, Aldelond, Wortetoun, Helde, Ferthynges, Hodeslond, Morgezene, Chalneteghe, Westermarlyngges, Clene (or Cleve), two fields called Strongecroftes, half the great garden, woods called Chityngeherst Wode, Hoberdeswode, Redegrof, Echenwode; meadows called Brodewisshe, Cornwisshe, and half the meadow called Wodewisshe; a brook called Hobdesbrok and 50s rent to be received and held from the underwritten, viz., from Geoffrey atte Holte, 3s.; John atte Broklonde, 4s. 8d.; John de Beche, 10s.; William Wolty, 8s. 4d.; John Cuner, 3s.6d.; Adam atte Holte, 2s.6d.; William de Otslonde, 6s.; Adam Crepe, 12s.; from lands and tenements which they held of the said Alice de Penherst, saving to the said Alice for her life all suits of court, heriots & c
