By JOHN MAVESYN of Cattesfeld, to JOHN HUKSTEPE confirming his estate in a toft and 16 ac. of land in Battle called Nweland, lying to lands called Hothland, N. and to Chauncelwode and a lane from the messuage of John atte Wode to Battle, S. and W. and to Bernettysland, E.; which premises the said John Hukstepe held by knight's service and rent to the said J. M. of 2s. 4d. and paying at each term for Castle Guard, ½d and ¼d of silver and doing common suit at the court of the said J.M. of Cattysfeld, also paying heriot and relief when they happen viz., relief 3s. 5d. with ½d of silver
