By ALEXANDER WELDISH of Breade, co. Suss. yeoman, and ELIZABETH his wife to JOHN ASHBURNHAM, esq., - for £900 - of all that messuage, barn, outhouses and buildings & and several pieces of land, pasture, wood and brooke called Stiles farm, Picknoles, Petters farm, the Upper Hammer wood, Penkherst Brooke, and Perrey Brooke (theretofore called Penherst Brooke), Hevernaryes land als Hevers Knolle, Ramslade, Morgine als Morgines and Hodsfield als Hodisfield, all in Penhurst containing 126 ac., theretofore in the occupation of Thomas Stiles, John Relfe, John Eson and Anthony Sone and then of the said Alexander Weldish, and abutting to a lane called Alloune Lane leading between Penherst and Reedewood, N., lands of Sir Edward Michelborne, knt., and afterwards of John Giles, clerk, N. and E., lands of the said John Ashburnham called Perry fields S. and E., to low grounds and upgrounds of the said J.A., S., a Brooke of John Relfe, the Bay of the pond of the Upper Forge, and the said pond, W., lands of Laurence Summers, gent., N. & W. and lands of Henry Barnes, purchased by him of Richard Relfe, N. and W. Marks of grantors and seals
