By JOANE ALFRAY of Nenfeild, widow, to THOMAS ALFRAY of Cattesfeild, gent. eldest son and heir of Richard Alfray late of Pottmans in Cattesfeild, esq., late husband of the said Joane - for £35. 12. - raised by the sale of timber and wood upon the woodland to be mentioned and £64. 8s. in hand paid - of 8 ac. of woodland divided from a parcel of woodland part of a tenement and lands of William Easton called Mazons in Nenfeild, bounding to other woodland part of Mazons, S., other land of the said Richard Alfray, E. and S., John Gyles, clerk, W. and Pottmans pond, N. and E.; which premises were by deed of 13 April, 1640, mortgaged by the said Richard Alfray to Edward May of Pashley in Tysehurst, esq., and re-conveyed, 6 Nov., 1647, to the said Joane Alfray
