By JOHN RELFE of Ashborneham, gent., to JOHN GILES of Nendfeild, clerk, and BENIAMIN SCARLE TT of Eastborne, gent. - for £65 - of 2½ ac. of Brooke ground or lowe ground at the Upper end of the Upper Forge pound bounding to the floodgate river from Dallington furnace to the Upper Forge, W. and N., land of Lawrence Sommer, gent., part of Frenches farm, E. and the Hammer pond of the said John Giles and Ben. Scarlett, S. Also 3/4 ac. of wastground or brookeland called the Aldrett on the E. side of the Upper forge between the river or stream between the floodgates of the Upper forge and its Hammer ditch

 

Also a little pightell or parcel of Brooke ground lying below the Sinder heape of the said Dallington furnace on the SE side containing ½ ac.; the land and wast ground between the Fownder's house and the little pond bay through which the way goeth together with the said way

 

Also the wast or wastyground called the Brickekell with the way leading through the same and the piece of Coppice on the N. side of the said wastground called the Brickekell wood on the N. side of the said coale place containing 1 ac. bounding to the land in the occupation of Thos. Andrewes, W. and to the river or watercourse from the said furnace, E

 

Also all the land lying between the said coale place, W. and the river E., with the soil of the said river running from the said furnace and furnace wheele to the S. end of the Brickekell wood

 

Reserving to the said John Ralfe a little piece of land in a corner and adjoining the dwellinghouse of the said Thos. Andrewes by him purchased of the said John Relfe
