By RICHARD RELFE of Dallington, gent., 3rd son of William Relfe senr. late of Ashbornham, gent. decd., GEORGE MARTIN of Crowherst, yeoman, and HENRY SHEATHER of Battle, yeoman, to ALEXANDER WELDISH of Brede, yeoman, (JOHN RELFE of Ashbornham, gent., JAMES RELFE of Dallington, gent., and THOMAS STILES of Penherst, yeoman, also being parties) - for £300 paid to the said Richard Relfe - of a messuage, barn, outhouses &c. and lands &c. called Stiles farm, Picknoles, Petters farm, the Upper hammer wood, Penherst brooke, and Perry brooke, theretofore called Penherst brooke, Hevernaryes land alias Hevers Knolle, Ramslade, Morgine als Morgines and Hodsfeild als Hodisfeild, containing 126 ac. in Penherst in the occupation of the said Thomas Stiles, John Relfe, John Eson and Anthony Done, and were purchased by the said Richard Relfe of Sir John Ashborneham, knt., since deceased, abutting to a lane called Alloune lane between Benhers; Penherst and Reedewood, N., lands late of Sir Edward Michelborne and then of John Giles, clerk, N. and E., Perryfeild, S. and E., a brooke of the Lowgrounds and Upgrounds of John Ashbormham lately purchased of the said Richard Relfe, S., a brooke of the said John Relfe and the bay of the Upper forge pond and the said pond, W., lands of Laurence Summers, gent., N. and W. and lands of Henry Barnes lately purchased of the said Richard N. and W
