By EDWARD BROMEFEILD, esq., and others (as in las deed) to LAWRENCE SOMMERS of Hawkhurst, co. Kent, gent., ROGER COBYE of Lewes, gent., and NEHEMIAH PANTON of Brightlinge, gent., - for £409 - of a messuage and lands called Connyes alias Little Kitchingham theretofore parcel of Great Kitchingham, in the tenure of George Rabbett, containing 54 ac.; Hammer Hyll alias the Forge feild (4 ac.); the Hammer brookes alias Braodwish (13 ac.); and Bakers brooke lying below Hammerbrooke (5 ac.); Hammer Copiew (40 ac.); a parcel of land lately "ridded up" and taken out of the north end of the Hammer Coppice (4 ac.); the Iron work or Hammer called Kitchenham Hammer and the Hamer house and Iron house there, with the workmen's houses belonging, upon the said Hammer brooke and Hammer Hill, with all tools &c.; the Pond adjoining the said Hammer (25 ac.) in the occupation of William Relfe and William Relfe and Richard Relfe; Hoades Wood part of Great Kitchenham (85 ac.); meadow lands called Combe ponds (4 ac.); Milbridge brookes in the occupation of Solomon Sothernden, miller; the Deane alias the Denn and the Twist with brookeland (15 ac.); Also a messuage and lands (4 ac.) in the occupation of Caleb Browne

 

All the said premises bounding as follows:- To the highway from Nendfeild to Ponts Green, N. a tenement or lands of the said E. and J. Bromefeild in the occupation of Thomas Stiles, E. and N., copyhold lands of the heirs of Thomas Ashbornham, gent., E. and N.; Combewood to the River or watercourse from Combe Myll to Boreham bridge, E. and to lands of the said E and J. Bromefeild, called Great Kitchingham, S. unto the River or watercourse from the Great Fendgates of Kitchingham forge to Boreham bridge, W.; two upland fields called Clevers, S., W. and N
