By RICHARD LENNARD of Little Monden, co. Herts., gent., and ANNE his wife to RICHARD NEWTON of Mondon, clerk, and THOMAS PARKER of Bourne, co. Sussex, gent., of the manor of Testers in Steaning and a messuage and lands in Ashurst, co. Sussex, called Upper Wollyes and all lands in Steaning which William Fernefould late purchased of Thomas Dunstall and John Ludbyter. Also of a messuage called the Whitehorse in the town of Steaninge in the occupation of John Davenport with all barns, stables, gardens &c. belonging. In all which premises the said Richard Lennard and Anne were seized as of frank tenement for the life of the said Anne by way of jointure under a conveyance of Thomas Fernefeld, gent., late of Steaninge, late husband of the said Anne. Term, 60 years if the said Richard Lennard and Anne should so long live together. Rent, 4d Signature Richard Lennard and seal. Witnesses:- Edward Hilles, Humfre Kyme |
