By MICHAEL HAWKINS of Battle, gent., to THOMAS ORGLASSE of Horsmounceaux, yeoman, - in consideration of a marriage already had between Thomas Button of Wevilsfeilde, yeoman, and Agnes, daughter of the said Michael Hawkins - of a messuage, lands &c. called the Knolle, Perriers Crofte, Hames in Penhurst and Ashebourneham in the occupation of John Cade, containing 36 acres; the messuage called le Knolle &c. bounding to the highway from Penhurst church to Battell, S., demesne lands of the manor of Penhurst, W., a garden called Dickdens garden, N., the highway from Stephens Crooche to Brightlinge, E. Perriers croft bounding to the highway from Stephens Crooche to Brightlinge, W., lands of Wm. Cowper, called Jennings land, N. and William Haye, gent., S. and E. Hames bounding to lands called Cowlands, E. and S., John Ashebourneham, esq., and demesne lands of Penhurst, W. and S. and other lands granted by the decd, N

 

Also a parcel of brookeland containing ¾ acre
