Title: Court roll of Crowham manor in Westfield, 1327-1375 (with gaps)
Description:

The date of m.6 suggests that this is an early 17th century compilation of useful court rolls for the reign of Edward III. Similar groups for other reigns were probably assembled at the same time but have not survived

The information contained in the document confirms the tentative identification of AMS5442/1-2 as belonging to the manor. The effect of the black death on the manor is shown by mm. 3-5

The appearance of a court for Glassye (in Beckley) on m.1 is probably explained by the fact that the de Pebshams, Lords of Crowham at this time, were also lords of Pebsham manor of which Glassye was part
