John Akeherst of Hailsham, yeoman, and his wife Joan, with their eldest son Thomas Akeherst Messuage called Downash, two barns, two orchards, two gardens, three acres of land, one acre of meadow, two acres of pasture and eight acres of marsh at Downash, Hawkins and Blackland in Hailsham To the use of JA and JA and the survivor, remainder to TA in tail, remainder to the heirs of JA, on condition that, on the death of his parents, TA shall pay £20 to William Akeherst, one of JA's younger sons, within a year of his return to England (of which he must give three months' notice), £40 to JA's son Nicholas and £20 each to his four daughters Elizabeth, Mary, Ursula and Patience W: Thomas Foster, James Paine |
