Title: 12TH (BERMONDSEY) BATTALION
Description:

The Battalion was raised in 1915 by the Mayor of Bermondsey. It formed part of 122nd Brigade, 12th Division. It embarked for France in May 1916, serving on the Western Front throughout the War, including at the Battles of the Somme, 1916, and Ypres, 1918. Following the Armistice, the Battalion joined the Army of Occupation of the Rhine, returning to England in May 1919, when it was disbanded.
