Administrative / biographical background:

Joseph Price (d.1863) developed the manufacture of soft mattresses and filling pillows and palliases at Wellington and later at Taunton (Staplegrove Mills). A limited company was formed in 1897 by George Henry Price which became Price Brothers in 1925 and Relyon in 1935 and continues to trade.
