Title: NYLAND ESTATE stewards' accounts and rentals
Description:

Account book, inscribed 'Nyland General Account' and headed 'John Farmer...', 1820-21, and 'Thomas Pointing in account with Edwd. Wm. Leybourne Popham Esqr.', 1822-36, and including separate half-yearly rentals for the period, 1820-35.

 

Receipts. Rents, timber and hay sales, free share of lead mines, etc.

 

Disbursements. Rates and taxes, labour and service, building repairs, purchase of various items (thorn plants, tiles, cheeses, etc.), and other incidental expenses.

 

The rentals give names of tenants, brief description of properties, acreage, yearly rent, arrears due, half-year's rent due, total due, and amounts received and remaining, with a few observations.
