Small notebook of General Leyborne, containing memoranda on the appointment of officials, skirmishes with the 'Charibbs', barrack inspections, etc., 1772-74.

 

One copy of the Royal Grenada Gazette, containing the notice of the address by the President and Council of Grenada to Mrs Ann Leyborne, on the occasion of the death of General Leyborne, 1775.

 

Volume containing a few pages of accounts headed 'July 19th 1775. An Account of the assets of Govr. Leyborne', showing receipts by Mrs Leyborne from Portuguese monies brought back, sale of madeira wine and rum, share of the profits of the ship 'Tagus', and the Governor's salary, and disbursements on travelling expenses, customs dues, freight charges for the wine, tradesmen's bills, legal charges, £17 for 'Edwds. schooling at Harrow from Xmas 75 [sic] to his father's death the 16th April 1775', interest on bonds, and a survey of the Grenada estate. The volume also contains a number of receipts given to Mrs Leyborne for payments made in 1776 and 1777.
