Title: Somerset deeds, etc, relating mainly to the Enmore estates of the Perceval Family
Description:

Somerset deeds, etc, relating mainly to the Eumore estates of the Perceval Family

Introductory note The donor was the great grandson of Spencer Perceval, the Premier, who was assassinated in 1812 and who was also a younger son of the 2nd Earl of Egmont. The family's Enmore estates were completely sold in the 1830s [see DD/PLE Box 64 for the extensive sale catalogue] and the records were presumably distributed to purchasers at the time. The small element here listed would appear to represent the residue left in the family's hands.

Two bundles of deeds of properties sold in 1835 and a bundle of catalogues relating to the sale have been listed below as an Appendix and numbered [DD/PC 24-26], but they remain stored under their original references.

Date: 1656-1877
