Queries about raised rents; appeals for reduced charges when premises used for charitable purposes or on account of depressed trade situation; competition by entertainers to obtain bookings around Goose Fair time; complaints, etc.

 

There are often printed letterheads, and telegrams are included. Many letters are endorsed with action taken; some are endorsed with lists of bookings. Correspondents have been listed in order of first occurrence, later or connected items being added to the description at that point.
