Copy allowance by commissioners for surveying Sherwood.

 

Reciting claim of John Gosling, gent., to (a) rangership and keepership of walks of Bilhay and Birkland, with White Lodge House and commons, right of browse wood and fence wood, keepership of walks of Mansfield and Mansfield Woodhouse, and fees, etc., (b) heroage and pannage of Bilhay and Birkland (boundaries given) and 35a. forest measure (boundaries given) with all timber and tithes (minerals excepted) for £4 p.a. Claim (a) disallowed, but (b) allowed and also in lieu of herbage and pannage and for £75 (of which £40 for disafforestation of the 35a.), Gosling is allowed White Lodge and 57a. with timber and tithes, and 2a. adjoining for life or 9 yrs. if longer, at 6d. p.a.
