COVENANT between John le Noverai, of Borton Noverai [Burton Overy, Co. Leic.] and John le Botiler, of Castre, whereby the said John le Noverai has leased to John le Botiler his land in Castre which he had by inheritance from Margery his wife, from Michaelmas 1277 for a term of three years, at a yearly rent of 16sh. at the end of which term the said land shall return to John le Noverai and Margery his wife. And if John le Botiler cease paying the rent, let him be subject to the power of the Abbot of Burgh St.Peter's or of his bailiffs, that they may distrain etc.
