LEASE by Dom.Henry de Baston, rector of the church of Fletton to John Heryng, of Castre, of a messuage with lands, meadows and pastures in Castre which were formerly Geoffrey Pikworth's and which the same Henry held by grant and lease of Thomas le Aumener, of Peterborough, and Joan his wife, widow of the abovesaid Geoffrey; for a term of 11 years from Michaelmas 30 Edw.III. [1356] by the usual services to the chief lords of the fee and suit of court at the Hundred of Langdyk and Castre, and a yearly rent to the said Henry of 26sh.8d. The said John shall keep the said messuage from damage by wind or rain and shall do for the said Henry to the Abbot of Peterborough services of "Bederipe and Beene".
