GRANT by Henry de Castre fil.Rob. Herlewene to Sarra his daughter for her service and two marks paid in hand, of a "place" with 1½ acres of land in the vill, etc. of Castre near the King's way leading to Castre ford, and a "triroda" of land in Ham in the fields of Castre: paying for the place and acre and a half of land on the F.of St.Kineburga on that virgin's altar one penny, and in Lent two pence to celebrate two masses for the souls of his ancestors, etc. - and for the "triroda" of land under the vill of Castre one halfpenny at Easter to the heirs of Alice de Brouton, a pound and a half of wax for the lamp of the altar of the B.V.Mary in Castre church.
