Catalogue description Agreement

Whereby Hon. Cecil S[aumarez] Irby (landlord), through his agents (Messrs. Thynne & Thynne, 9, Victoria St., Westminster), let yearly to Thomas Henry Brandish (of Spring Rd., Little Heath, Foleshill) from 21st. Dec., 1916 2r. 5p. between the Coventry Canal's eastern side and Spring Rd. (in the parish of Foleshill, Warws.) as shown on an attached plan, paying £1/10/- p.a. biannually subject to (a) weeding and cultivating the garden, (b) not creating a nuisance, (c) not cutting or pruning trees, carrying away minerals or damaging fences (which must be repaired), (d) the tenant's payment of usual imposts, (e) landlord's right of inspection, and (f) the lease's determinability by six months' written notice (expiring on 21st. Dec. in any year) or by three months' notice (under the Agricultural Holdings Act, 1908) if building be intended.

2nd. Mar., 1931. Attached Memorandum stating the transfer of tenancy to Walter Sydney Brandish (of 56, Spring Rd., Foleshill, Coventry) from 21st. Dec., 1937.
