Catalogue description Draft Agreement

Whereby, as Elizabeth Mabel, and Mildred Alice, Reynolds (of 1, Stoney Rd., Coventry, spinsters) own David Rd. Hall, Coventry, and have agreed to run it jointly with the Irish Social Club: therefore, firstly, this agreement is deemed to have commenced on 25th. Mar., 1935, running until expiry within 6 months' notice being given from any 24th June; secondly, that the hall shall be available for the club every weekday 20,00 to 24.00; thirdly, that the owners will provide free use of the hall with furniture and fittings, and will be responsible for its cleaning; fourthly, that Joseph O'Neill (of 9, Adelaide St., Coventry) agrees that the club's hall committee shall consist of at least six people; fifthly, that subscriptions, friends' and visitors' payments and ticket-charges shall be equally divided between the parties, but that the club shall retain entrance-fees; sixthly, that the owners shall receive a minimum of £1/10/- p.a.; seventhly, that the owners shall be in charge of refreshments and retain their profits; eighthly, that there shall be an equal burden of payment to the Performing Rights Society; ninthly that full mutual information will be given about receipt of money, both parties being represented on the door at dances and and having access to account books; tenthly, that advertising and printing costs shall be fully shared; and eleventhly that O'Neill shall be personally responsible to the owners for effecting the agreement.
