Catalogue description Draft Agreement for Purchase of Business

Whereby, firstly, George Ewart Leslie Shipp (of 69, Crosbie Rd., Coventry, wholesale fruiterer's manager intends to purchase the goodwill of the business of a retail green grocer and general dealer then maintained by Beatrice Anne Sharlot (of 14, Crosbie Rd., Coventry, at 7, the Butts, Coventry; secondly, the goodwill and fixtures will be valued at £600 and the chattels and stock at £100; thirdly, Sharlot acknowledges receipt of £350 on account, the balance to be paid within two months but Shipp entering the premises on signing the agreement; fourthly, Sharlot will help Shipp to retain his tenancy; fifthly, in default of the purchase-money's payment, the buyer will pay interest at 5% p.a. on the unpaid balance; sixthly, the vendor will retain her book-debts; seventhly, the account-books will be Shipp's property from the purchase-date; and eighthly, any disputes will be referred to the Chairman of Coventry Chamber of Commerce.
