These sound recordings are of various, mostly elderly, people who talk about their lives and sing songs. There are also some recordings of broadcast material (for example the Radio Ballads) which included new and traditional songs, and of new 'contemporary' folk songs sung by Ewan MacColl and Peggy Seeger and various members of the Critics Group.
