Miscellaneous papers collected by E.A.B. Barnard, including some with an obvious archival integrity; the provenance of all the material is not clear but much of it came from the offices of Messrs. Blayney & Phelps of Evesham. The collection comprises specifications for the construction of the Birmingham to Bromsgrove road, 1832; commonplace books and papers about construction works on the Birmingham Canal, 1824-44; a volume of proposals and estimates for work on the Rochdale Canal, c1794-1801; account book of the daymen in Heath Yard, Birmingham, 1826-27; specifications, plans and drawings relating to the construction of part of the Liverpool to Birmingham railway, 1834, and the London to Birmingham railway, n.d.
