Details of 920 PLU
Reference: 920 PLU
Title: Plumbe Tempest Deeds and Papers.
Description:

The extensive collection of deeds and papers of the Plumbe family are as yet only roughly sorted. The papers and books relate to the family and estate mainly in Aughton, but also in Liverpool (Wavertree), Ormskirk and Whiston. They have been grouped in a numerical series of bundles and volumes 1-54, but many of the bundles are large and will require further listing and possibly rearrangement

The deeds have been sorted in chronological order according to place, but not according to title, and consequently await further sorting. A few deeds remain in their original bundles according to title, and so their old letter references A-L have been retained for the present, and the remaining series have been allotted for convenience the letters M-S.
