Colleague of Clayton's at High Pavement, Nottingham. See p. 65. Answers a letter of Clayton's and mentions that "the 1st Book of my Conic Sections will be published this Winter ..." (see 920 NIC/9/20/1). His second letter relates that he has given a sermon "which gave such offence to a few that in a very marked manner and expressive of indignation they quitted the meeting in the midst of the Sermon ...".
