Richard Le Gallienne (1866-1947), poet, essayist and literary critic of the eighteen-nineties, was born at 53 Prescot Street, Liverpool, educated at Liverpool College, and was for some years articled to Messrs. Chalmers and Wade, accountants of Fenwick Street, Liverpool.
