These records of the Stockport Division of the Cheshire County Court, the Stockport Borough Court and the combined court (post April 1974) were deposited by Stockport Magistrates Court in July 1984 and July 1987.

The Borough records cover Stockport, Brinnington, Cheadle, Edgeley and Heaton Norris. Other parts of the Metropolitan Borough of Stockport are included in the County Court records. After the creation of the Metropolitan Borough of Stockport in April 1974 all parts of the borough are included in combined Court Registers.
This list details everything which has been deposited with the Archive Service including those records which are less than 100 years old which are closed to the public by statute.
