Bolton and District Textile Employers' Association, 1966-1969, Lancashire

Physical description: 17 series
Subjects:
  • Bolton, Lancashire
Administrative / biographical background:

The Association was founded in 1861, but unfortunately no minute books before 1878 survive, having been destroyed by fire. At a General Meeting held on 18th May 1966, the Association changed its name to Bolton and District Textile Employers' Association.

On 1st July 1969, the Textile Employers' Association amalgamated with Bolton and District Textile Manufacturers' Association and Darwen Textile Employers' Association to form a single employers' organisation.
