Certified copies of a lease and release by Susanna Grahme, of Lewisham, Kent, widow of Ranald Grahme, of Nunnington, Yorks., esquire, with the consent of William Legge, 1st Earl of Dartmouth, and his mother, in trust to Sir John Shaw, of Eltham, Kent, 2nd Bart., Sir Comport Fitch, of the same, 2nd Bart., Salusbury Cade, physician, John Lethieulier, esquire, eldest son of Sir John Lethieulier, of Lewisham, Kt., and Henry Raines, esquire, son of Sir Richard Raines, of East Greenwich, Kt., of the chapel at Blackheath, Kent, lately built at her cost, with a stipend of £20 per annum for the Rector of Lewisham or his Curate and £5 a year for a chapel clerk and for the cost of repairs charged on Lewisham parsonage and tithes, 13-14 December 1697 (ff.1-11).

 

'An account of Moneys received and disbursed upon Repairs and other necessaries for the Chappel on Blackheath', 1699-1705. In the hand of George Stanhope, Rector of Lewisham and Dean of Canterbury (f.19v).

 

'An account of Moneys received upon this Endowment from the time of Mrs. Grahme's Death, which happened Febru: 26 1698/9', 1699-1733. Partly in the hand of George Stanhope (ff.20-21v).
