A brief note, extracted out of the sentence of divorce between Margaret Doyne and Tirloghe Ballagh O'Connor brought before Richard Doyne, vicar-general to Daniel Neylen, Bishop of Kildare. The marriage was declared void on the ground that the plaintiff had been forced into it against her will.
Dated at Philippo, 24 June 1586.
Witnesses: John Dyren, rector of Ballicombre, Constantine McEgan, curate of Greshill, and others, whose names are given.

After this divorce the said Margaret was married to Molrony O'Carrell, and had a son John after his father's death, found by office to be his (sic) Majesty's ward, and since then a bastard.
