'Discourse upon the Inquisition Containing a short but pithie Narration of ye first Entrance, Progresse and finall Confirmation of that great Jurisdiction in diuers partes of ye Christian World, but particularlie and cheefelie as it is appropriate to ye State of Venice. Together with the Causes and Motiues wch. induced that famous Republique to make Seuerall Decrees and Ordinances concerning the regulation of it for the publique peace and quiett of ye Common Wealth. Collected and Explaned by ye most Actiue Seruant of that State F. Paolo Soarpi Seruita, and translated out of the Originall by Jonathan Sidnam Anno 1638'.
