Title: | Beatrice Harraden to Daisy Solomon |
Description: |
Sympathises with her difficulties in finding a companion for her mother. Writing to ask for her help in finding somewhere to stay in Golders Green. She must move from Mrs. Holiday's house by end of Jun and, although it is physically very comfortable, the atmosphere is depressing as Mrs Holiday led a hermit like existence and has no friends or contact with people outside. Gerrards Cross is too expensive and not suitable for someone without a car. 'This is a great day isn't it - fancy all women voting (I hope they are!). |
