b) From Garrick Club, 13-15 Garrick Street Covent Garden, asking Jeaffreson to advise James [Robertson] Anderson (1811-1895), actor, about the publication of his memoirs, 7 May 1883

 

c) From the House of Commons thanking him for copy of his book [The Real Lord Byron(?)] and informing him that George William Reid (1819-1887) Keeper of Prints and Drawings at the British Museum had been asked to resign, 19 June 1883

 

d) From 1 Gloucester Crescent, Paddington declining invitation to dinner because of official duties at the Houses of Parliament (appointed superintendent of ventilation, 1865), 24 May 1884
