The main office of W Garstin and Sons was originally at 49 Wigmore Street. In 1966 this firm amalgamated with William Tookey and Sons, and moved to their old main office at 51 Marylebone High Street. In 1973 the whole concern was acquired by J H Kenyon Ltd (see Accession 934), though it continues to work from the Marylebone High Street address under the name 'W Garstin and Sons Ltd, incorporating William Tookey and Sons'.

The precise definition of the post 1966 accounts is therefore difficult, as two and sometimes three companies are concerned. Most of the records divide early enough between the two firms.
